Jonathan Fox Bassett is a British television drama and film director. He began directing factual programmes such as *Trans World Sport* before moving into drama. His short film *While I Can Dream* (2002) received critical acclaim, including commendation at the London Film Festival.

He has directed episodes of *Teachers* (2001), *The Inspector Lynley Mysteries* (2006), *Torchwood* (2006), *Waterloo Road* (2006), *Murder in Suburbia* (2005), *Casualty*, *Eve* and *The Demon Headmaster* (2019). *Waterloo Road* received a Royal Television Society award. He has also directed the family musical *AbracadOpera!* (2022).
