## Biography

Jonathan Freeman is an American actor and puppeteer. He voiced Jafar in Disney's 1992 animated film *Aladdin* and reprised the role in the direct-to-video sequel *The Return of Jafar* (1994), video games including the *Kingdom Hearts* series, and the Broadway musical adaptation of *Aladdin*, which he performed in from 2014 until January 2022.

He graduated from Ohio University. On stage, his Broadway credits include a Tony-nominated role in *She Loves Me* (1994) as well as appearances in *How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying*, *The Producers*, *On the Town*, *42nd Street* and *The Little Mermaid*. He performed the puppeteering and voice for Tito Swing on the PBS series *Shining Time Station* (1989–1995). Film appearances include *The Ice Storm* (1997) and *The High Note* (2020).
