## Biography

Jonathan Goldsmith is a Canadian composer, arranger and music producer. Active since the early 1980s, he has written music for more than a hundred film and television productions.

His film scores include *Visiting Hours* (1982), *Away from Her* (2007), *Casino Jack* (2010), *Take This Waltz* (2011) and *Stories We Tell* (2012). Television work includes the miniseries *Titanic* and *Sex Traffic*. He has won four Gemini Awards, four Canadian Screen Awards and a BAFTA TV Award for Best Original Television Music.

Goldsmith is a founding member of the Art of Time Ensemble and a member of the band Nick Buzz. He began his career as a record producer and has produced albums for artists including Bruce Cockburn, Jane Siberry and Sarah Slean.
