## Biography

Jonathan Stark is an American actor, writer and television producer. Born in Erie, Pennsylvania, he holds a B.A. in Art Education and trained with the Groundlings in Los Angeles before beginning his career in acting.

He appeared in films including *Fright Night* (1985) as Billy Cole, *Project X* (1987) and *House II: The Second Story* (1987). His television acting credits include roles in *Cheers*, *Moonlighting* and *Tales from the Crypt*. Stark began writing for television in 1991, contributing episodes to *Cheers*, *The Nanny* and *Ellen*. He co-created the sitcom *According to Jim* (2001–2009) with Tracy Newman and shared a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series for the 1997 *Ellen* episode "The Puppy Episode".
