## Biography

Joni Lefkowitz is an American screenwriter and producer. She was born on 15 December 1980 in Omaha, Nebraska.

She co-created the ABC Family series *Chasing Life* (2014–2015), on which she also served as writer and executive producer. She co-wrote and produced the feature film *Life Partners* (2014) with Susanna Fogel. Lefkowitz has written episodes of *New Girl* (2016) and *Jane the Virgin* (2019), and has held producing roles on both series. She teaches screenwriting at UCLA Extension.
