Joop van Hulzen was a Dutch actor. He appeared in films from the 1920s onwards, often credited under variant spellings of his name including John von Hülsen and Giovanni van Hulzen.

He is known for his role as Captain Hartmann in Roberto Rossellini's *Rome, Open City* (1945). Other credits include an uncredited part in *Roman Holiday* (1953), the Minister of Justice in *Black Magic* (1949), and roles in Italian productions such as *Tempesta su Parigi* (1948).
