## Biography

Jordan Harper is an American writer and screenwriter. Born in Springfield, Missouri, in 1976, he worked as a music journalist and film critic before entering television writing.

He joined the Warner Bros. Writers Workshop and wrote for the series *The Mentalist* (2008), serving as story editor, executive story editor and co-producer across multiple seasons. He later contributed episodes to *Gotham* (2014) and *Hightown* (2020), and wrote the screenplay for the film *She Rides Shotgun* (2025), adapted from his own novel.

Harper is the author of crime novels including *She Rides Shotgun* (2017), which won the Edgar Allan Poe Award for Best First Novel. He has also written the television films *L.A. Confidential* (2019) and episodes of the upcoming series *Criminal*.
