Jorge Zamacona is an American television writer and producer. He began his career as a writer on the medical drama *St. Elsewhere* (1982), contributing teleplays in 1984.

Zamacona worked extensively on the police drama *Homicide: Life on the Street* (1993) as a writer, story editor and producer, and wrote crossover episodes with *Law & Order* (1990). He co-created the police series *10-8: Officers on Duty* (2003) and *Wanted* (2005). His other writing credits include *Millennium* (1996), *Third Watch* (1999), *The Last Ship* (2014), *Quantico* (2015), *City on a Hill* (2019) and *Law & Order: Organized Crime* (2021). He graduated magna cum laude from California State University, Northridge in 1983 with a degree in television and film writing and production.
