José Luis Escolar is a Spanish producer. Born on 30 July 1960 in Madrid, he began working in the film industry as an assistant director and production manager before focusing on producing.

His credits include line producer on *Kingdom of Heaven* (2005) and *Cloud Atlas* (2012), production director on *Agora* (2009), and producer on the series *Narcos* (2015) and *Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan* (2018). He is producer on the forthcoming series *Kill Jackie* (2026). Escolar has won four Goya Awards for best production direction.

He is the son of actress Irene Gutiérrez Caba and the father of actress Irene Escolar. He has founded production service companies such as Calle Cruzada.
