## Biography

José Salcedo Palomeque was a Spanish film editor. He maintained a long collaboration with director Pedro Almodóvar, editing every one of his films from *Pepi, Luci, Bom y otras chicas del montón* (1980) through *Julieta* (2016). He is also credited on numerous other Spanish productions, including work with Agustín Díaz Yanes and Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón.

Salcedo won the Goya Award for Best Editing three times, for *Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown* (1988), *Nobody Will Speak of Us When We're Dead* (1995) and *All About My Mother* (1999). He received the Gold Medal of the Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas de España in 2017. He died in Madrid on 19 September 2017.
