## Biography

Josée Deshaies is a French-Canadian cinematographer. She trained in Montreal after studying art history in Italy and has worked in film since the mid-1990s.

She is known for her long collaboration with director Bertrand Bonello, serving as director of photography on films including *The Pornographer* (2001), *House of Tolerance* (2011), *Saint Laurent* (2014) and *The Beast* (2024). Her other credits include *Passages* (2023), *Babysitter* (2022) and *A Brother’s Love* (2019).

Deshaies has received two César Award nominations for Best Cinematography, for *House of Tolerance* and *Saint Laurent*.
