Josef Dietze was a German cinematographer. He was born on 24 November 1887 in Bonn and died on 25 September 1949 in Berlin.

His credits include numerous silent-era German films, among them several produced by the Treumann-Larsen company and works for Filmwerkstätte Erich Claudius. In 1931 and 1932 he photographed two Finnish features, *Erämaan turvissa* and *Kuisma ja Helinä*. He was one of the cinematographers on Leni Riefenstahl’s *Olympia* (1938), released in parts as *Fest der Völker* and *Fest der Schönheit*, and worked on the 1940 documentary *Kampf um Norwegen – Feldzug 1940*.
