Joseph Cross is an American actor and producer. Born on 28 May 1986 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, he began his career as a child actor, appearing in the 1998 films *Desperate Measures*, *Wide Awake* and *Jack Frost*.

From 1999 to 2004 he starred as Casey Hughes in the CBS soap opera *As the World Turns*. He later played Augusten Burroughs in *Running with Scissors* (2006), for which he won the Satellite Award for Best Actor – Motion Picture, and appeared in *Flags of Our Fathers* (2006) and as Dick Pabich in *Milk* (2008). Cross has also featured in *Lincoln* (2012), *Mindhunter* (2017) and *Big Little Lies* (2017). He studied at Columbia University.
