Joseph Granby was an American actor. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he began his career in silent films in 1915, appearing in shorts for studios including Universal and supporting roles at Fox. His last silent film was in 1921; he then worked in Broadway plays from the early 1910s through the 1930s.

Granby returned to motion pictures in the 1940s, with most appearances uncredited. He is noted for his voice role as the angel Joseph in *It's a Wonderful Life* (1946). His credited film roles include R.J. Courtney in *Written on the Wind* (1956). He also worked in television from the early 1950s until his death in Los Angeles in 1965.
