Joseph Krings is a film editor. His feature credits include *Captain Fantastic* (2016), directed by Matt Ross, which premiered at Sundance and screened in the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes, where Ross won Best Director.

Krings edited Ross’s earlier film *28 Hotel Rooms* (2012). He was named the 2013 Sally Menke Memorial Editing Fellow by the Sundance Institute. Other credits include *Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon* (2013), *Galveston* (2018), *Rebel in the Rye* (2017) and *After the Wedding* (2019). He is Emmy-nominated for his work on the limited series *Death by Lightning* (2025).

Originally from Nebraska, Krings is based in Brooklyn.
