## Biography

Josh Charles is an American actor and director. He began performing as a child and made his screen debut in John Waters' *Hairspray* (1988), followed by a role in *Dead Poets Society* (1989).

He is best known for playing Will Gardner in the CBS series *The Good Wife* (2009–2016), for which he received two Primetime Emmy Award nominations. During his time on the show he also directed three episodes.
