Joshua Abrams is an American composer and multi-instrumentalist. He has written scores for several documentaries, including Steve James’s *The Interrupters* (2011), for which he also performed as a musician.

Abrams is known for his work on *Life Itself* (2014) and *Abacus: Small Enough to Jail* (2017). He has composed music for other films and series such as *The Trials of Muhammad Ali* (2013), *Almost There* (2014) and the series *America to Me* (2018). A bassist based in Chicago, he leads the group Natural Information Society and has released several albums.
