## Biography

Juan de Landa (also credited as Juan Pisón Pagoaga y Landa) was a Spanish actor born in Mutriku in the Basque Country. He entered the film industry in 1930 with the arrival of sound, initially appearing in Spanish-language versions of Hollywood productions before working primarily in the Spanish and Italian film industries.

His best-known role was as Giuseppe Bragana in Luchino Visconti's *Ossessione* (1943). He also appeared in *Beat the Devil* (1953) as the Hispano-Suiza Driver and in numerous other Spanish and Italian films through the 1950s.
