## Biography

Judith McCreary is an American television writer and producer. She has also been credited as Judi McCreary and Judy McCreary.

She began her career writing feature films and secured a two-picture deal at Universal. Her first television writing credit came in 1995 on *New York Undercover*. She contributed numerous episodes as writer and teleplay author to *Law & Order: Special Victims Unit* from 2000 onwards, rising to co-executive producer on the series. She also wrote episodes of *Criminal Minds* and served as co-executive producer on its first season.

McCreary has worked on other series including *CSI: Crime Scene Investigation*, *Secrets and Lies*, *NCIS: New Orleans*, *FBI* and *American Soul*, where she was showrunner. She received nominations for an Edgar Allan Poe Award and an Image Award for her writing on *Law & Order: Special Victims Unit*.
