## Biography

Judy Engles is an actor and writer. She played Candy Gulf in the 1971 film *Harold and Maude* and provided the voices of Winston Schwartz and the Lizard Leader in the 1972 animated feature *Fritz the Cat*.

She later wrote four episodes of the ABC Afterschool Specials series between 1983 and 1986. Engles also appeared as Candace in one episode of the television series *Kate & Allie* (1984) and acted in an episode of *Captain Kangaroo* (1980). She had previously performed stand-up comedy with Bud Cort at the Upstairs at the Downstairs theatre.
