Julia Brownell is a television writer and producer. She has written episodes of *This Is Us* (2018–2022), *The Path* (2016–2018), *Pure Genius* (2016–2017), *About a Boy* (2014–2015), *Parenthood* (2013–2014) and *Smash* (2012), among other series.

She has also served as a producer on several of these programmes, including as co-executive producer on *This Is Us* and *The Path*. Brownell received two Primetime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Drama Series for her work on *This Is Us*.
