## Biography

Julian Breece is an American writer and director whose credits include work in film and television. He received story and teleplay credits on the Netflix miniseries *When They See Us* (2019). He also wrote the story and co-wrote the screenplay for the 2023 biographical film *Rustin*.

Breece is a graduate of Harvard University and the University of Southern California's Peter Stark Producing Program. His short film *The Young & Evil* (2008) was selected for the Sundance Film Festival, and he was a Nicholl Fellowship finalist for his screenplay *Ball*. He has contributed to series including *The First* (2018) and *Harlem* (2021).
