Julian Higgins is an American director, writer and producer. Born on 28 December 1985 in New Hampshire, he holds a BFA in Film from Emerson College and an MFA in Directing from the American Film Institute, where he also teaches.

He began with award-winning short films, including *Thief* (2010), which received a Student Academy Award, and *Winter Light* (2015), an Oscar shortlist finalist. His television directing debut came with one episode of the series *House* (2012). He later directed multiple episodes of *Guidance* (2016–2017) and served as writer on *Banshee: Origins* (2013).

Higgins made his feature debut with the neo-Western *God's Country* (2022), which he wrote and directed. He is based in Los Angeles.
