## Biography

Julie Cohen is an American documentary filmmaker and producer. She co-directed and co-produced the 2018 film *RBG* with Betsy West; the documentary about Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg premiered at Sundance and received an Academy Award nomination for Best Documentary Feature.

Cohen has frequently collaborated with West on further documentaries, including *Julia* (2021) and *My Name Is Pauli Murray* (2021). She directed the 2023 film *Every Body* as a solo project. Earlier in her career she worked as a news producer at NBC News on *Dateline* and at Court TV. She holds a BA from Colgate University and a master’s degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
