## Biography

Juney Smith is an American actor, director, writer and producer. A native New Yorker, he graduated from LIU Brooklyn with a B.F.A., which he attended on an athletic scholarship for basketball. He began his career in theatre and has performed in classic plays, including the roles of Walter Lee in *A Raisin in the Sun*, Oscar Madison in *The Odd Couple* and Solly Two Kings in *Gem of the Ocean*.

On screen, Smith appeared as Phil McPherson in *Good Morning, Vietnam* (1987) and as Tom Wyler in *Lethal Weapon 2* (1989). His other film credits include *Friends and Romans* (2014), *Colewell* (2019) and *A Different Man* (2024). Television work includes episodes of *Law & Order: Special Victims Unit*, *Blue Bloods*, *ER*, *M*A*S*H* and *FBI*. He has also directed more than 100 stage productions and served as artistic director of several theatre companies.
