## Biography

Junior LaBeija (born 1957) is a ballroom performer and activist from Harlem, New York. Born James Goode Jr., he has been a member of the House of LaBeija for more than fifty years and served as emcee at the Paris is Burning ball.

He appeared as himself in the 1990 documentary *Paris Is Burning*. Archive footage of LaBeija was included in the 2020 film *Disclosure*. In 2026 he made his Broadway debut as Gus in *Cats: The Jellicle Ball*.
