## Biography

Justin Bruening is an American actor and former fashion model. Born on 24 September 1979 in St. Helena, Nebraska, he moved to California after high school and was discovered by a talent scout at a McDonald's in Escondido. He began his career modelling before transitioning to acting.

Bruening's first major role was as Jamie Martin on the daytime soap *All My Children* from 2003, earning him a Soap Opera Digest Award in 2005. He later starred as Mike Traceur in the 2008–2009 revival of *Knight Rider* and has had recurring roles in *Grey's Anatomy* (2013–2018) as Matthew Taylor, *Good Behavior* (2016–2017) and other series. Since 2020 he has been a main cast member of the Netflix series *Sweet Magnolias* as Cal Maddox.

He is married to actress Alexa Havins, a former co-star from *All My Children*.
