## Biography

Justina Ireland is an American writer of young adult science fiction and fantasy novels, as well as screenplays. She served as a staff writer on the Netflix miniseries *The Fall of the House of Usher* (2023), for which she also received a teleplay credit on one episode.

Ireland holds a BA in history from Armstrong Atlantic State University and an MFA in writing for children and young adults from Hamline University. Her novels include the *New York Times* bestseller *Dread Nation* (2018) and its sequel *Deathless Divide* (2020). She has contributed to the *Star Wars: The High Republic* multimedia project and written comics. Ireland previously edited *FIYAH Literary Magazine* and has received a World Fantasy Award and a Locus Award.
