## Biography

Kano, born Kane Brett Robinson on 21 May 1985 in East Ham, London, is a British rapper, songwriter and actor. He is regarded as a pioneer of grime music alongside Wiley and Dizzee Rascal.

His fifth studio album, *Made in the Manor* (2016), was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize and won Best Album at the MOBO Awards. He has also released *Hoodies All Summer* (2019).

On screen, Robinson is best known for playing Sully in the Channel 4 and Netflix series *Top Boy* (2011–2023). His other acting credits include the film *Tower Block* (2012) as Mark and the Netflix film *The Kitchen* (2023) as Izi.
