## Biography

Kanju Yagi was a Japanese sculptor and modeler. With his brother Yasuei, he formed the Yagi Brothers and contributed to the creation of monster suits for Toho tokusatsu films beginning with *Godzilla* (1954).

Their work included modeling on *Godzilla Raids Again* (1955), *Mothra vs. Godzilla* (1964), *Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster* (1964), *Gamera, the Giant Monster* (1965) and *Frankenstein vs. Baragon* (1965). Kanju Yagi died in 1966; Yasuei continued the work on later productions.
