## Biography

Kara Lindstrom is a production designer, set decorator and art director. She began her career in the art department and as an assistant property master on films including *A Nightmare on Elm Street* (1984) and *Heathers* (1989). She later worked as set decorator on titles such as *Strange Days* (1995) and *In the Line of Fire* (1993).

Lindstrom has served as production designer on numerous features, among them *Dear John* (2010), *Safe Haven* (2013), *Den of Thieves* (2018), *The Map of Tiny Perfect Things* (2021), *Prey* (2022) and *Nyad* (2023). She has also written for film and television, receiving an Emmy nomination in that capacity, and published the novel *Sparkle Life* in 2006. She lives in Victoria, British Columbia.
