Karel Lier was a Czech production designer and art director. He worked extensively in Czechoslovak and Czech cinema from the 1950s to the 1990s, contributing to over 40 films in production design, art direction and set decoration.

Lier is credited as production designer on *Daisies* (1966), directed by Věra Chytilová. His other notable credits include *The Assassination* (1964), *All My Good Countrymen* (1969), *The Liberation of Prague* (1977) and *The Prince and the Evening Star* (1979). He was also an architect, painter and graphic artist.
