Karen Elizabeth Austin was an actress credited on film and television as Karen Austin. She appeared as Mrs. Paterson in the 1987 film *Housekeeping*.

Austin earned a master's degree in dramatic literature from Northwestern University and performed at Canada's Stratford Festival in 1978 and 1979. Her credits include guest roles in series such as *Night Court*, *Airwolf*, *MacGyver*, *The 4400*, *Masters of Horror* and *Caprica*, as well as films including *We're No Angels* (1989), *The Eye* (2008) and *Passengers* (2008).

She was married to actor Mel Tuck and died on 2 April 2011.
