## Biography

Karen Pittman is an American actress. She was born in Mississippi and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Voice and Opera at Northwestern University and an MFA from New York University’s Graduate Acting Program.

Pittman began her career with guest appearances on television series such as *30 Rock*, *Law & Order* and *House of Cards*. She has appeared in films including *The Bourne Legacy* (2012), *Begin Again* (2013) and *Detroit* (2017). Her television roles include recurring parts in *The Americans* (2014–2016) and *Marvel's Luke Cage* (2016–2018), and she stars as Mia Jordan in *The Morning Show* (2019–present).

She has performed on Broadway and in Lincoln Center Theater productions, including *Disgraced*.
