## Biography

Karin Gist is an American television writer and producer. She earned an undergraduate degree in English literature from Spelman College and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center. After practising law for three years she began her writing career in 2001 as a trainee on the sitcom *Girlfriends*.

Gist has written episodes of *Grey's Anatomy* (2005), *One Tree Hill*, *Revenge*, *Star* and *mixed-ish*. She co-wrote the Disney Channel films *Jump In!* (2007), *Camp Rock* (2008) and *Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam* (2010). She has worked as a producer and co-executive producer on *Grey's Anatomy* and *Revenge*, and as executive producer and showrunner on *mixed-ish*. She created the series *Our Kind of People* (2021) and served as showrunner on *Mike* (2022).
