Karl John (24 March 1905 – 22 December 1977) was a German actor. He was born in Cologne and trained in Berlin, appearing on stage from 1931. He worked in film and television from the early 1930s until his death.

John appeared in more than 50 films. He is known for roles including Gen. Wolfgang Häger in *The Longest Day* (1962), Inspector Kleiber in *The Man Between* (1953), Shelby in *The Mysterious Magician* (1964) and 'Marquez' in *Sorcerer* (1977). He often played Wehrmacht officers in the post-war period and later worked frequently in radio and television, including episodes of *Derrick* (1976) and *Tatort* (1977).
