Karl Johnson (born 1 March 1948) is a Welsh actor who has worked on stage, film and television. He began his screen career in the early 1970s with an appearance in the children's series Rainbow and has since built a career spanning more than five decades.

His notable roles include the title character in Derek Jarman's Wittgenstein (1993), Cato the Younger in the series Rome (2005–2007), Twister Turrill in Lark Rise to Candleford (2008–2011) and PC Bob Walker in Hot Fuzz (2007).
