## Biography

Kate Arend is a television producer. She has worked at Amy Poehler’s Paper Kite Productions since at least 2013, rising to Head of Production in 2017 and later serving as co-head of film and television alongside Kim Lessing.

Arend received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series as producer on the first season of *Russian Doll* (2019). She has also served as executive producer on *Making It* (2018–2021), *Baking It* (2021–2022) and *The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning* (2023), and as producer on *First Time Female Director* (2023).

She co-hosts the podcast *Million Dollar Advice* with Kim Lessing.
