Kate Carin is a costume designer. Her early credits include work as a wardrobe assistant in the 1980s and assistant costume designer on *Shadowlands* (1993). She received her first major credit as costume designer on *Shallow Grave* (1994).

She has designed costumes for feature films including *Spice World* (1997), *Hideous Kinky* (1999) and *The 51st State* (2001), and for television series such as *Raised by Wolves* (2020), *Good Omens*, *Vigil* and *The Buccaneers*. She is based in Cape Town, South Africa, where she has run her own company since 2011.

Carin won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Costumes for a Variety/Music Program or a Special for *Gettysburg* (2011) and a Canadian Screen Award for Best Costume Design for *The Book of Negroes*.
