Kate Harrington was an American film and television actress. Born in Boise, Idaho, she studied dramatics at the Bush Conservatory in Chicago and began her professional career in theatre before spending twelve years in Hollywood, where she appeared in films including *Rhapsody in Blue* (1945) and entries in the Scattergood Baines series.

Her later film roles included *Madigan* (1968), *Rachel, Rachel* (1968) as Mrs. Cameron, *The Hospital* (1971) as Nurse Dunne, *Child's Play* (1972) as Mrs. Carter and *The Sentinel* (1977). On television she played Kate Martin on *All My Children* in 1970 and Marion Conway on *Guiding Light* from 1971 to 1972. She died in New York City in 1978.
