## Biography

Kate Sargeant, also credited as Kate Sargeant Curtis, is an American television writer and producer. She began her career as a child actress, appearing as Emily in the 1992 film *3 Ninjas*. She studied at the University of California, Berkeley, graduating Phi Beta Kappa with a BA in English and Dramatic Arts, and later earned a master's degree in Text and Performance Studies from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, where she wrote, directed and produced the play *Revolving Door*.

Sargeant has written episodes of *Castle* (2009), including 'The Mistress Always Spanks Twice' (2010), 'Once Upon a Crime' (2012) and 'The Final Frontier' (2012). She has worked as a writer and producer on series including *CSI: Cyber* (2015), *NCIS: New Orleans* (2016–2017), *Blindspot* (2015–2019) and *The Rookie: Feds* (2022), and served as supervising producer and story contributor on *Obliterated* (2023). She has also created short films and web series.
