## Biography

Katharina Schüttler is a German film and television actress. She was born on 20 October 1979 in Cologne and grew up there. Her father is an actor and director, and her mother is a playwright. After secondary school she studied acting at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media from 1999 to 2003. Her screen debut came in the 1992 film *Die Lok*.

She is known for her roles in *Generation War* (2013) as Greta Müller, *The Promise* (2011) as Clara Rosenbaum, *Free Fall* (2013), *Alone in Berlin* (2016) and *Heidi* (2015). In 2018 she appeared as Helga Stern in the BBC series *The Little Drummer Girl*.
