Katherine Fugate is an American screenwriter and producer. Born on 14 July 1965 in Southern California, she graduated with a B.A. in Theatre Arts from the University of California, Riverside.

Fugate wrote an episode of the television series *Xena: Warrior Princess* (2001). She created and served as executive producer on the Lifetime series *Army Wives* (2007–2013). Her film credits include the screenplays for *Valentine's Day* (2010) and *New Year's Eve* (2011), as well as *The Prince & Me* (2004) and *Carolina* (2003). She is the niece of actress Barbara Eden.
