## Biography

Kathleen Hale is an American writer and television screenwriter. Born in Wisconsin in 1986, she graduated from Harvard University in 2010. She has written the young adult novels *No One Else Can Have You* (2014) and *Nothing Bad Is Going to Happen* (2016), the essay collection *Kathleen Hale Is a Crazy Stalker* (2019), and the true crime book *Slenderman* (2022).

Hale has contributed as writer, story editor and co-producer to the Netflix series *Outer Banks* (2020–), writing several episodes and teleplays. She wrote a teleplay for the miniseries *Devil in Ohio* (2022). She lives in Los Angeles and is married to the writer Simon Rich.
