Katie Ford is a screenwriter, television creator and producer. She began her career as a stand-up comic in Toronto and as a playwright in Toronto and Los Angeles. She wrote for the series *Family Ties* early in her career.

Ford co-wrote the screenplay for the film *Miss Congeniality* (2000). She contributed an episode to *Desperate Housewives* (2004) and served as consulting producer on the series. She wrote the teleplay for the television film *Prayers for Bobby* (2009) and co-created the Apple TV+ series *High Desert* (2023).
