Katsumi Muramatsu was a Japanese actor. He was born on 10 September 1939 in Kawaguchi, Saitama Prefecture, and died on 1 December 2001 in Kawagoe, Saitama Prefecture.

Muramatsu graduated from Waseda University's Faculty of Education and worked in theatre before appearing in films and television from the late 1960s. He is best known for playing Koichi Asakawa in the horror film *Ring* (1998) and its sequel *Ring 2* (1999). Other screen credits include *The Resurrection of the Golden Wolf* (1979) and *The Gentle Twelve* (1991).
