## Biography

Katy Scoggin is an American documentary filmmaker who works as a cinematographer, producer and director. She served as cinematographer and co-producer on Laura Poitras’s *Citizenfour* (2014) and in the same capacities on *Risk* (2016).

Scoggin made her feature directorial debut with *Flood* (2025), which she also produced and shot. The film received a Special Mention in International Competition at IDFA in 2025 and premiered on PBS *Independent Lens* in July 2026. She has worked as a cameraperson on additional documentaries and was a Fulbright Scholar in Berlin.
