## Biography

Kaz, born Kazimieras Gediminas Prapuolenis on 31 July 1959 in Hoboken, New Jersey, is an American cartoonist, writer and storyboard artist. After attending New York City's School of Visual Arts in the 1980s, he contributed comics to anthologies including RAW and Weirdo. Since 1992 he has drawn the syndicated adult comic strip Underworld.

He joined SpongeBob SquarePants in 2001 as a writer and storyboard director during its third season and returned as a writer from 2015. He has also written for Phineas and Ferb, Camp Lazlo and related series including Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years and The Patrick Star Show.
