## Biography

Kazuya Aoyama, also credited as Aoyama Kazuya and whose real name is Mototsugu Takeda, is a Japanese former actor and singer. He was born on 28 November 1951 in Ōta, Tokyo.

Aoyama began his career in music as a member of the rock band Green Grass and made his acting debut in the 1971 television series *Century of the Emperor*. He appeared in the 1973 tokusatsu series *Zone Fighter* as Hikaru Sakimori and in the 1974 film *Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla* as Masahiko Shimizu. His final acting role was in the 1975 film *Tôkyô-wan enjô* (also known as *Conflagration*). He retired from acting in 1976.

Aoyama later joined the family seaweed wholesaling business Kawamoriya, Inc., and became its president and CEO in 1989.
