## Biography

Keiron Self is a Welsh actor and writer. Born in 1971 in Newport, Wales, he read English at the University of Oxford before training at the Welsh College of Music and Drama, from which he graduated in 1993. He co-founded the Mappa Mundi theatre company with colleagues to produce their own versions of classic plays.

Self is best known for playing Roger Bailey in the BBC sitcom *My Family* (2002–2011). Other acting credits include PC Claude Cox in the sitcom *High Hopes* (2002–2015), Lt Colonel Andy Marsh in *The Undeclared War* (2022) and voice roles in *The Amazing Maurice* (2022) and *The Canterville Ghost* (2023). He has also written for television, including the screenplay for *The Canterville Ghost* and the script for *A Christmas Number One* (2021). His theatre work includes productions with Mappa Mundi and the role of Bob Acres in *The Rivals*.
